I'm Back! Happy New Year... Year of the Cat!
So, I know that I have been slacking as of late when it comes to making posts, but slacking is what I do. Most of the time I'm napping, eating, or thinking about doing either. I'm a cat, and this is my life. I know you're jealous. Haters gonna hate. Meow.
At any rate, I hope you all had a great holiday season and all that. I know I did. Plenty of fighting the Christmas tree, eating, sleeping, sleeping on people, trying to eat people food, and watching TV.
I almost made it outside several times! I know it's cold and sometimes wet outside, but I'm just too curious! Once it's warm out, I'm totally making a break for it. Great Escape style.
Well, I should probably get going. I think there's a squirrel or something over by the window and I just need to check that out.
Meow for now,
Aleister Cat
P.S. - This post is in Helvetica. My new years resolution was to try new things and, yes, I'm starting small.

I wanna go see a movie

Sometimes the channel that was left on really stinks. I have been successful changing the channel three times, though. Once I was faced with an entire day of the Home Shopping Network, but i gnawed at the remote until I happened upon a Godfather marathon on AMC.
I like the part where Michael shoots those two guys in the restaurant, then hides out in Sicily until the fallout dies down a bit. It's a great "returning to the homeland" side plot, but also an important part of the story in terms of character development as well.
Meow!
Anyway, I digress... what I wanted to say was, because I watch a bit of TV, I've been seeing these ads for Puss in Boots and, honestly, I really want to go see it. I've never been to a theater, though, so I'm not sure if I'd be allowed in. It'd be kind of ironic if I wasn't, right? I mean, what kind of crowd were you expecting for a movie like that? As far as I can tell, it's marketed to cats, right?
If I can't get in, I'd consider just buying a bootleg of the movie from one of those guys who sell pirated movies on the Broad Street Line subway. They aren't usually good quality, though.
Meow... anyway, I will figure something out soon.

My Friend Hugo
I'd like to introduce my friend Hugo. As you can see, he is also a cat. Hugo and I have been on-again-off-again roommates for years now. Whenever we meet up, we're sort of combative at first, but quickly warm up to one another again like old friends. It's a cat thing. You probably wouldn't understand.
I'm the only cat of the house right now, but I'm sure we will meet again soon enough. Hugo is... well, Hugo is what you'd call "skittish". Not that he can't also be bold, though; he certainly has chased me around the house before, pouncing on me and cat stuff like that. Just for fun. He's a lover not a fighter.
You'll be hearing more about Hugo in posts to come.

Hello, My name is Aleister
Hey everybody. My name is Aleister M. Cat, but you can just call me Aleister. Or "Meowlister" or "Alei-cat" or "Charlie Catlin" (on account of my stylish cat mustache). This is my blog, where I talk about all the cat things I'm into (like box sitting!), as well as the traditionally non-cat things I like to do (eat fried chicken out of the garbage!). I hope you enjoy your time here.
Meow!
